Fern Greenwald

Fern Greenwald

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Fern grew up enjoying the museums and art classes the city offers. She entered college as an art major and graduated with a degree in economics, was a systems analyst, computer programmer, toy store owner, teacher, and volunteer for many organizations.

Fern now lives in Las Vegas, where a few classes led to a new hobby, then a career, handcrafting jewelry. She continues to evolve as she designs and creates wire-wrapped stone pendants, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, belly chains, hair accessories, bridal headpieces, and stone jewelry for pets, inspired by her special boy Cooper. “I love the warmth of muted earth tones, and the look and feel of natural stones and antique metals. And, of course, the occasional blingy crystal often finds its way into the mix. I use them to create unique pieces that I hope will resonate with people and help them to feel happy.” She regularly donates jewelry to non-profit organizations that are dear to her, in the hope that the sale of these items will improve the lives of people, animals, and the earth.

Fern’s jewelry is available in stores and galleries in Nevada, California, Utah, and New York, on-line at www.etsy.com/shop/Ferntealdesigns, and at art fairs.
