Valerie began creating hand beaded jewelry in 2012 after a visit with friends to California, who surprised her with a bracelet making class at their local bead shop.  Completely hooked by the process, she began visiting bead shops in the Las Vegas area for more bead supplies and more bead classes (and more bead supplies!), and her passion for beading was born.

After retiring from a career in Information Technology, Valerie attended the New York Institute of Art & Design; and since 2018 has been a member and bead artist with the Boulder City Art Guild. 

Valerie's designs of hand stitched bead work and bead embroidery are available at the Boulder City Art Gallery.
