Susan Irene Hoenninger

Susan began practicing oil painting around 2012.  For the first several years, she only painted on canvas paper, not feeling competent enough to commit her work to canvas.  Then she was inspired to paint a portrait of her two year old grandson and place it in an oval frame she found at the

First Friday produce market in Henderson.  As luck would have it, Tamera Geddes was teaching a portrait painting class at the Henderson Multi Generational Center.  The project was a disaster, one which her son-in-law threw out eventually.  But the relationship with her mentor, Tamera, was formed.  Tamera has helped Susan's potential grow immensely, although she is always learning the next thing.  Susan has sold a few pieces, but has every wall in her house covered.  This has brought her to this next adventure of displaying her work.  Susan likes to paint beautiful girls, horses, flowers, and landscapes.  She hopes you will enjoy her endeavors as much as she has, even to the point of adorning your home with some of them.  Then she can return to painting in earnest to fill up the empty spaces.
