Kelly O'Shaughnessy 

Artist Statement:  "An afternoon breast cancer fundraiser at one of those wine and paint experiences sparked an interest in taking up painting. A friend encouraged me to just “pick up a brush and start”. What started as a means to relax grew into a pastime and with the encouragement of friends, a couple of classes with local artists, paint days with other blossoming artists and many hours in a makeshift garage studio, here I am.  I like to paint either in my garage studio, backyard or in the great outdoors including beautiful scenic areas out in the desert or on a beach."

As a mostly self-taught developing artist, Kelly is experimenting with different mediums including acrylics, pastels, water color, and oils, with acrylics being her favored medium.   Her favorite subject matters are currently landscapes and oceanscapes.
