Georgia Lawson is the featured artist for the month of November in the Boulder City Art Gallery.

Bright colors and bold shapes define Georgia’s art, whether working in oils, watercolors, or an occasional pen and ink drawing.  Her subject matter varies from landscapes and periodic seascapes to abstracts and still-life.

However, Ms Lawson’s most widely acclaimed works are her paintings of animals.  She has received many requests for paintings of family pets and now regularly takes commissions for pet portraits.  Georgia also holds classes and loves helping students discover their inner artist and the joy of painting.

Georgia Lawson was born and raised in California. She later moved to Corvallis, Oregon where she focused on her art studies through classes and workshops.  This encouraged her to develop her own style and color palette.  She loves “Having fun with Color” — a mantra she has adhered to ever since.  Georgia joined the Boulder City Art Guild after moving to the Las Vegas area.
