About Us

The purpose, or mission, of this organization is the promotion of fine art in Southern Nevada. The Guild will:

(a) support continuing art education for members and non-members by providing access to quality instructors;

(b) encourage Southern Nevada artists to show and sell their work;

(c) provide an attractive environment in which artists can exhibit their work that has been placed for sale, and in which prospective buyers may browse and purchase said work;

(d) schedule one major show for members, non-members, and students for these purposes;

(e) provide annual scholarship(s) for high school and undergraduate students who are studying for a fine arts degree;

(f) support the Boulder City Adams Boulevard Community (ABC) Park Art Center including "mini-scholarships" for low income citizens seeking art classes and

(g) establish and maintain an art gallery in Boulder City for members, to be operated as a separate cooperative and for-profit entity.

Our Offices, Gallery, and Gift Shop are located in the Boulder Dam Hotel in Boulder City, Nevada. The Gallery is our "for-profit" endeavor. The Guild provides the space and the Gallery stands alone as a separate Co-op for-profit entity. It also serves as a central point for members to congregate, show their work, pay their dues, new members can apply and pay their dues, etc. In other words, the Gallery is a separate business but all are members of the Guild and we transact Guild business at the same location. There is always a member-artist on duty.

Membership is open to anyone over 18 years of age. Active membership includes artists of all media. Supporting membership is anyone interested in or supportive of the visual arts. Corporate memberships are available for those corporations desiring to sponsor activities of the Guild to continue development of the visual arts in Southern Nevada. All dues and donations are 100% tax deductible.
